Hardik Pandya, India and Mumbai Indians’ all-rounder has the number 228 written behind his shirt. Ever wondered why that he has that number? A few years ago when Hardik was playing for the Baroda Under-16 team, he had scored 228 against Mumbai, when his side were reeling at 60 for 4. He has the same number for his IPL franchise as well as for Team India. He went on to say that he now likes the number, despite wanting to change it. Hardik was playing at the No. 3 position for MI in the initial stages of the tournament, but he was then sent down the order. Rohit Sharma wanted Hardik to consolidate the innings early in the innings, but he has not met the expectation of his skipper and as a result will have to bat lower down the order. India were on the lookout for a fast bowling all-rounder for some time now, but will expect better performances from him in the future.
