MS Dhoni once again sprung up a surprise when he stepped down as India’s One-Day International (ODI) and T20I captain on Wednesday. Dhoni is India’s most successful captains having led the team to wins in ICC World T20 2007, ICC World Cup 2011 and ICC Champions Trophy 2013 – making him the only captain to have won all three ICC tournaments. Dhoni led India in 199 ODIs and 72 T20Is. He first took over as captain during the inaugural World T20 in South Africa. Dhoni has also led India in 60 Tests as well. He has led India in 331 international matches – A world record. Despite stepping down as captain, Dhoni will be available for selection for the upcoming ODI and T20I series against England.
