Rishabh Pant was being called as India’s next big thing post his performances in domestic cricket in 2016-17 seasons. Sadly, he has not been able to take full chance of those opportunities. Pant, now has all his hoped pined in Indian Premier League (IPL) to get him back into the foray for India colours. Pant playing Delhi Daredevils has been too fidgety during his outings. In his first match, Pant scored 13-ball 28. In his second match against Rajasthan Royals, Pant was once again seen taking the aerial approach with a plan.

It was in the fourth over that Pant survived. His skier managed to drop in between three fielders, much to the agast of Ben Lauglin. It was Rahul Tripathi, Ajiknya  Rahane and K Gowtham, who all ran in only to see the ball drop in between. Pant eventually made a 14-ball 20 for Delhi.

Delhi went on to lose the match against Rajasthan by 10 runs, chasing 71 in 6 overs after rain held the game hostage for 2 and a half hours. Delhi’s next match is up against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede on April 14. Rajasthan, on the other hand play Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 15.
