Rohit Sharma said in a press conference that he was sad to see India lose the first T20I in India vs South Africa 2015 series. He added that it is sad to see the team lose a game after posting a hefty total over 180 runs. He said that his knock went in vain since it ultimately did not help India win. As per Rohit the current pace bowlers that India has have played exceedingly well in domestic circuit and hence deserve to be in the national side. Rohit feels that young bowlers like Mohit Sharma and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar although not being experienced have the talent to perform well in the upcoming matches. He added that even the South African bowlers do not have enough experience. “When you play these kinds of tournaments you grow as a cricketer. Buvaneshwar Kumar has some experience, Mohit Sharma has played some cricket while Aravind is yet to make his presence felt. He has proven to be a good player in domestic cricket. Hence, they know exactly what is expected out of them.” Rohit Sharma: South Africa’s bowling unit is inexperienced

According to Rohit, sometimes things don’t go your way. It happened in the first T20I, due played a crucial role too in our loss. With due fast bowlers find it difficult to control their line and length. Rohit said that India needs to show resilience and come out stronger in the upcoming matches. “We have to perform well with both bat and ball. The captain has to make the final call of playing XI as per the conditions and what he is comfortable with.” Rohit feels that it is difficult to tell whether India should play three seamers or three spinners. “Look we have to play according to our strengths and South Africa’s weaknesses,” he signed off.
