Australia on Saturday received a huge boost when their captain Michael Clarke was deemed fit for their next match in the ongoing Zimbabwe Triangular Series 2014 against the hosts on Sunday.

According to Cricket Australia (CA) official website, Clarke, who underwent an extensive session since the team’s arrival in Harare, is yet to be approved by the Australian medical staff. During the session Clarke did not only do some light jogging, but was also involved in simulate turning and running to prove his fitness.

The website added that the final decision on Clarke’s availability will be made late on Saturday when the medical team will judge his fitness, after examining his agility while running between the wickets.
