India’s star batsman Virat Kohli has been in tremendous form in the recent times and has taken the world with a storm with a series of scintillating performances in the ongoing Indian Premier League. His appointment as skipper in Tests has improved him both as a batsman and player as well. He is not like many other current player, who go for unorthodox shots to score runs quickly, Kohli is one of those rare cricketers in the current era who believe in collecting runs in with proper cricketing strokes as he is among the most technically sound batsmen. Read: Fast and Furious: Virat Kohli and the “spectacular fastest Audi”

The year started with India’s outing to Australia, where Kohli started his good run earlier this year, followed by ICC World T20 2016 and then in 2016 edition of Indian Premier League. Leading the Royal Challengers Bangalore side where players like Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers and Shane Watson were already there to grab all the limelight, Kohli shot to newer heights and went on to score four centuries in this season of this tournament. This is the first time when a cricketer made four hundreds in a single edition of any T20 tournament and one of them came on a losing cause too. And the latest one he which he scored against Kings XI Punjab was with eight stitches on his left hand. He seems to be unstoppable even after being injured as many players have already been ruled out from the tournament this year because of injury. So far, Kohli has scored 865 runs in the tournament at 86.50 with a strike rate of 155.01, which is incredible and also this is the first instance of a player scoring more than 800 runs in any IPL season. Following this, Amul came up with a caricature where four Kohli is seen celebrating his century with a caption written, “Kohlissal achievement” with the tagline of “Vi love it”.
