Andrew Strauss smashes his own sunglasses instead of the stumps

Former England skipper Andrew Strauss always sported a smile on the field. But, on this occasion, his teammates shared a good laugh along with their captain.

As Hashim Amla and Jacques Kallis were piling the runs at The Oval in 2012, the English players were grim. Kallis worked one off Graeme Swann to mid-wicket and called Amla for a quick single. Strauss came around, picked up the ball and threw it in a flash. But, as luck would have it, his shades had come off his hat and as Strauss threw it, the ball hit them mid-air and shattered them. Everyone had a laugh. But, look at Alastair Cook at short-leg that sums it all up!

It was after that series; Strauss retired from cricket having lost the three match series 2-0, losing the Tests at The Oval and Lord’s.
