But, on this occasion, his teammates shared a good laugh along with their captain.<p></p><p></p>As Hashim Amla and Jacques Kallis were piling the runs at The Oval in 2012, the English players were grim. Kallis worked one off Graeme Swann to mid-wicket and called Amla for a quick single. Strauss came around, picked up the ball and threw it in a flash. But, as luck would have it, his shades had come off his hat and as Strauss threw it, the ball hit them mid-air and shattered them. Everyone had a laugh. But, look at Alastair Cook at short-leg that sums it all up!<p></p><p></p>It was after that series; Strauss retired from cricket having lost the three match series 2-0, losing the Tests at The Oval and Lord's.
