Breaking News: Shah Rukh Khan appoints Taher Shah as KKR' mascot
They both have ‘Shah’ in their names and have the ability to enthrall audiences with their entertainment. While Shah Rukh Khan is superstar, Pakistan’s Taher Shah is soon catching up. SRK, as Shah Rukh Khan is fondly called, also co-owns the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) side in Indian Premier League (IPL). On Sunday, the side plays its first match of the IPL 9, against Delhi Daredevils (DD). The co-owner of the two-time IPL champion side had a good news in store for the team ahead of the ninth edition.
SRK was so pleased with Taher’s new video ‘Angel’ that he decided to appoint the latter as the side’s mascot. What impressed SRK the most was the purple angelic costume that Taher wore in major part of the song. The writer caught up with philanthropic King Khan, who seemed dazed with the ‘mankind angel’.
“The world is full of hate and people are ridiculing Taher Shah for the wonderful video. I disagree with Twinkle Khanna’s tweet when she says that this is Pakistan’s nuclear substitute. We know how good an actor she was! Taher bhai is misunderstood. There is a lot of hate in this world and Taher bhai is just spreading love with his angelic voice and persona. His heart is like rose and I firmly believe in what he has to say. We have signed him as our mascot and don’t believe in fight anymore and have dropped ‘Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo’. It is all about doing good and Taher will be seen more in this angelic purple costume cheering for KKR. And yes, that’s the costume for our cheerleaders too,” said SRK.
If our sources are to be believed SRK has convinced his director friend Karan Johar to sign Taher for his next untitled project, which whose tagline goes, ‘It’s all about being angelic…’
SRK changed due to Taher
In a sensational revelation, SRK said that it was Taher who changed him for good. He added, “I made peace with Shirish Kunder and Salman Khan only after I watched Taher ‘eye to eye’. While Gandhiji said that eye for an eye makes the whole world blind, I realised Taherology is true that eye to eye can make happy killer love.”
Shocked Gambhir
A close friend of KKR skipper Gautam Gambhir told the writer that Gambhir knew this was coming and he could not come to terms with this development. We all know now why Gambhir was so gambhir during the IPL opening ceremony.
The next time Gambhir swears someone, “Teri Maa ki Aankh”, he is bound to remember Taher’s angelic eyes. Amen!
