Carlos Brathwaite’s all-round performance: DD may not have missed the services of the injured of Chris Morris, as Brathwaite stepped up and displayed a commanding show. He stood up to his tag of an all-rounder. Brathwaite picked two crucial wickets of skipper Warner as well as T20 stalwart Yuvraj Singh. Apart from his bowling act, he also showed his fielding skills with direct run-out, dismissing Shikhar Dhawan and grabbing a crucial catch of Eoin Morgan at long on.

David Warner stands tall for SRH: It was once again the Warner show. He reached his 7th IPL fifty this season and that included 8 fours and a six. Warner started off with his opening partner Dhawan as always. Unfortunately, he remained witness to wickets tumbling at regular intervals at the other end. Warner reached his fifty mark off just 40 balls.

DD’s strong bowling attack: SRH were unable to put up an all-round show, as DD’s heavy bowling attack shocked SRH by scalping wickets at regular intervals. Apart from Brathwaite, Duminy as well as Nathan Coulter-Nile bagged wickets of Morgan and Moises Henriques, respectively. It was also the fielders doing their part, be it Amit Mishra’s direct hit to dismiss Deepak Hooda or Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s stumping by de Kock.

Barinder Sran pulls off a blinder: If another catch that can be included in spectacular catches is Brathwaite’s dismissal by Sran. He flew to his left and pouched the ball mid air to get an important wicket of Brathwaite, who could have changed the scenario for DD early on. Sran filled the gap for veteran Ashish Nehra, grabbing two crucial wickets of de Kock and Duminy.

Karun Nair’s match-winning knock: Just when the opening pair tumbled with de Kock going for 2 , Nair took over the charge on the spot. Pant and Nair also achieved 50-run stand that they were unable to carry forward until the end of the innings with Pant being dismissed for 32. Nair kept his calm and took DD until the finishing line.
