It is a do or die match for Delhi Daredevils (DD) when they take on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in match 56 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016 at Raipur. DD registered a morale boosting last ball win against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their previous match. It is these sort of close finishes that really unites a team and they will look to carry their momentum against a RCB team, who are on a rampage at the moment. DD registered a comprehensive win at Chinnaswamy against RCB and a double against them will take them to the playoffs. Let’s have a look at the playing XI DD are likely to go in with for this match.  Full Cricket Scorecard, Delhi Daredevils vs Royal Challengers Bangalore, IPL 2016, Match 56

Top-order: Quinton de Kock has had a poor outing in the last couple of games, but he will look to come good against the team he scored a magnificent century. Rishabh Pant has been one of the find this season and he will most likely be retained and will open the innings de Kock. Karun Nair played a magical innings against SRH to guide his team to a nail-biting win. He will be entrusted to play a similar role coming in at No. 3. Middle-order: The experience of JP Duminy in the middle-order will come in handy along with the likes of Sanju Samson and Carlos Brathwaite. Brathwaite had an excellent time with the ball and in the field and he will retain his place. Brathwaite came into the side in place of the injured Chris Morris. Morris, if fit, will come in place in place of Nathan Coulter-Nile. Pawan Negi neither batted or bowled in the previous match, but will keep his place as he can chip in with some runs down the order and also bow a couple of quiet overs.

Bowlers: After a rusty beginning to the season, Zaheer Khan has turned into one of DD’s most reliable bowlers. With Brathwaite and possibility of Morris coming in the pace attack seems solid. Jayant Yadav, Amit Mishra and Negi give them some balance in the spin department as well. Even Duminy can roll his arm over, if needed.

Delhi Daredevils likely XI: Zaheer Khan (c), Quinton de Kock (wk), Rishabh Pant, Karun Nair, JP Duminy, Sanju Samson, Carlos Brathwaite, Pawan Negi, Chris Morris, Jayant Yadav, Amit Mishra.
