Top-Order: Chris Gayle stroked a brilliant 32-ball 73 against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) to announce his arrival on to the IPL stage after a poor run with the bat. RCB will want Gayle to play another whirlwind of an innings. Kohli has been in golden form cracking hundreds at will in this edition of IPL. Kohli has so far amassed 865 runs could very well get to 1,000 runs if RCB wins this and qualifies for playoffs. Coming in at No. 3 is AB de Villiers, who himself has been in scintillating form. De Villiers has so far made 597 runs for RCB in this edition will look to get past No. 2 David Warner.

Watson bowling has also been praised so far, coming into bowl the death overs. KL Rahul has looked good complimenting the top batting stars of RCB. Rahul has batted with composure and aggression. Sachin Baby who has clicked so far with the bat will want to continue the trust instilled in him by team management. Stuart Binny, who has so far been only used as an opening bowler will look to do the same and contribute with the bat, when needed.

Lower-Order: Loss of Mitchell Starc and Samuel Badree have hampered the bowling of RCB as they have struggled to contain opponents. With Chris Jordan finally showing his death bowling skills RCB in him have found a trustworthy bowler to bank on. Partnering him will be Sreenath Arvind, who has bowled his heart out only to be hit for runs in most of the matches. Varun Aaron will be expected to bowl well as he is a senior pro in the bowling line-up. RCB’s spin department has been led by Yuzvendra Chahal, who has been the go to man for Kohli.
