Dinesh Karthik and Glenn Maxwell

Dinesh Karthik (left) is an Indian wicket-keeper batsman, who made his Test debut against Australia in 2004 and in the same year played his first One-Day International (ODI) against England. A right-handed batsman, he has played 23 Tests and 71 ODIs and has scored 1000 and 1313 runs respectively.

He made his maiden Test century against Bangladesh and then was India’s leading scorer in the Test tour of England, helping the team win their first series in England in 21 years. Karthik later suffered a dip in form and then made sporadic international appearances, playing his last Test in 2010 and in 2014, his last ODI. He plays for Tamil Nadu in the Ranji Trophy and recently was picked up by the Royal Challengers of Bangalore for the eighth edition of the Indian Premiere League (IPL).

Karthik’s doppelganger on the right is Glenn Maxwell, who is an Australian all-rounder. Maxwell made his ODI debut against Afghanistan at Sharjah in 2012 and Test debut against India in 2013. He is mainly known for his hard-hitting and unorthodox shots. Maxwell plays for Melbourne Stars in Big Bash League (BBL) and Kings XI Punjab in IPL. The dashing batsman recently got to his maiden ODI hundred in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 against Sri Lanka at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).
