ICC Cricket World Cup 2015: Pakistan vs United Arab Emirates, Pool B match in Napier in caricatures

Finally there was some relief in store Pakistani fans as the side finally made it to the fourth position in the Pool B points table. After frustrating two and half weeks, the batsmen finally delivered against United Arab Emirates (UAE) at Napier. Winning the toss and bowling first, UAE picked up the wicket of Nasir Jamshed in the fourth over but Ahmed Shehzad and Haris Sohail added 160 for the second wicket. Sohaib Maqsood and Misbah-ul-Haq joined the party and added 75 from just 53 balls. The score received further boost from Shahid Afridi, who remained 21 not out from just seven balls. He became the first all-rounder to notch up over 8000 runs and claim over 350 wickets in One-Day Internationals (ODIs). (ICC Cricket World Cup 2015: Points Table)

Chasing 340, UAE were off to a horrendous start as they were reduced to 25 for three after 10 overs. For Pakistan, Mohammad Irfan, who was looking threatening, had to leave the field due to a niggle after his third over. But the other bowlers combined and never let the UAE batsmen get on top. Good knocks from Khurram Khan, Shaiman Anwar and Amjad Javed in the end saw them end with 210 for eight at the end of 50 overs.
