IPL auction makes players rich

Every year, the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction brings in surprises. Some unknown players may be picked for a high price, or legends would go for a lower one. Either ways, it has always been a huge source of income for the players as they have a chance of earning big money through this tournament. Amul thus termed it as “Indian Players Lottery!”

Amul came out with the advertisement in 2012, to mark the IPL 2012 auctions.

Ravindra Jadeja was bought for a whopping $2 million by Chennai Super Kings. The second costliest buy was Mahela Jayawardene, who was bought by Delhi Daredevils for $1.4 million.
