Ishant Sharma gets messed up in his mind!

Please note this is a humour article — work of pure fiction

Indian speedster Ishant Sharma made a terrible comeback to cricket after spending months away from injury. In the fourth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2015), against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) bowler gave away 46 runs from his three overs, which included four no-balls.

SRH skipper David Warner was seen fuming and our source from the dressing room confirmed that the Australian lashed out at the Indian bowler much like he did in the Test series few months back. Ishant put the blame on his Team India skipper Dhoni and according to our source said, “If captains like Mahibhai tell you that you have to jump from the 24th floor, you would readily do that without thinking even once. And here we are just talking about sixes.”

Ishant was in fact furious with Warner for not giving him the quota of four overs. He screamed, “Why didn’t you bowl me when Mahibhai was batting? I would have at least given 24-runs to show my gratitude towards him.”

Shikhar Dhawan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who were hearing the conversation, looked completely confused. Our source further confirmed that after Ishant made the “jump from 24th floor” statement earlier this week, Dhoni gave him an advice, “You just bowl 24 good balls that will help the captain.”

Ishant just obeyed the orders and bowled almost 24-balls (22 actually), only mistake he made was he mistook the CSK skipper as the “captain” that Dhoni was talking about.
