Tarot reader Shruti Chopra looks into her cards to give CricketCountry.com readers exclusive insights into what lies ahead in the IPL matches. In the below piece, she dwells into the Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kings XI Punjab game – the only IPL match on Wednesday.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

The Knight of Pentacles represents the Royal Challengers Bangalore today. They will be cautious, yet sensible, in their approach. They will work at doing everything correctly. As their confidence develops, they will look to be aggressive and adaptable like the King of Wands, being supported by the Hermit. They should be prepared to take risks, as Punjab will put up a fight.

Daniel Vettori, despite the opportunities to take wickets, may not be able to capitalise on them since he will be unclear in his approach. As a captain, like the Three of Cups, he will be happy with some of his decision making, but will largely be dependent on the backing from others.

Key players

Virat Kohli will, like the Devil, be tempted to play some unorthodox shots which will get him into trouble. He will need to remove all his doubts and confusions to back his abilities.

Chris Gayle will play a mature and sensible innings. The Ace of Pentacles does show him taking charge and playing well through calculated risks.

AB de Villiers will start off too aggressively, but will calm down and allow himself to do well and be part of a strong partnership.

Tillakaratne Dilshan is graced with the Queen of Swords and the Seven of Pentacles. He will come up with better plans for his batting and be able to accumulate runs quickly.

Zaheer Khan has, like the Magician, all the tools to succeed. After some initial problems, he will be a tough bowler to get away.

Saurabh Tiwary will be stable and gain confidence through his innings. A good day for him.

Kings XI Punjab

The Kings XI Punjab are looking strong, stable and ready to put up an all round performance. They, like the Seven of Wands, believe they have the ability to get on top of their game and on top of the opposition. Their confidence will allow them to be flexible and change strategies according to the situation. They should be wary of feeling just too comfortable in this game.

David Hussey, as a batsman will be stable, strong and play a valuable independent innings. He should try to play with a bit more freedom, otherwise the Tower card is threatening to undo his hard work. In his captaincy, he will be wise, balanced and will make well thought out decisions.

Key players

Shaun Marsh will start off weak. The Knight of Wands will get him out of this initial phase and allow him to direct the innings better.

Nitin Saini has the Judgement card and the King of Pentacles, showing that he will step it up and score some valuable runs.

Piyush Chawla will have a good start to his bowling spell and be miserly in the first half. The second half isn’t that favourable and will need to listen to his captain to guide him through.

Parvinder Awana, like the Five and Six of Wands, is ready to fight and achieve success. He will be well planned and very positive today. Another good day for him in IPL5.

Azhar Mahmood, despite being a bit carefree, will also know when to regain and maintain direction. He will be a strong player and will take to all his responsibilities well. A good day for him as well.

Praveen Kumar will feel fresh, energetic and will have some good plans, which he will implement with success.
