In the 55th match of Indian Premier League, (IPL) 2016, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) plays Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on Sunday. The visitors have won 8 of their 13 matches and have qualified for the playoffs but will like to confirm their position in the top two to have an extra attempt in reaching the final, in case they lose the first Qualifier. On the other hand, it is a must win game for Kolkata Knight Riders if they have to qualify for the knockouts. There are high chances of rain interrupting Sunday’s clash which may dent KKR’s progress. Nonetheless, if there is a game they will feel confident playing in their own backyard. Here is a look at the probable XI, Gautam Gambhir may like to field in their all-important match against Sunrisers Hyderabad: FULL CRICKET SCORECARD: Kolkata Knight Riders vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, IPL 2016, Match 55 at Kolkata

Top-order: KKR have a solid opening pair in Gautam Gambhir and Robin Uthappa and will continue to take strides from ball one against Sunrisers as well. Lately, they haven’t clicked together for their team but will be careful in their do-or-die match today. Manish Pandey has not been in his usual best but will come at crease on the fall of the first wicket. He has been in ordinary touch but his captain won’t drop him as he has been a match-winner for them in the past.

Middle-order: Yusuf Pathan has had a good IPL with him delivering when the team was in dire states. He has bailed out the team against RCB, RPS, and GL. He will be all charged up in today’s clash. Shakib al Hasan will come at No.5.  Suryakumar Yadav will provide the late onslaught at No.6. West Indies ODI skipper, James Holder, and Piyush Chawla will make up for their rest of the batting-order.

Chawla will be dropped down the order as the move of sending him up in the previous game made no impact.  Missing the services of Andre Russell will be a big blow to KKR but they will hope his replacement, James Holder, to deliver the goods against SRH with an all-round show.

Bowlers: Both the teams have a superb bowling attack in their arsenal. KKR’s bowlers have done reasonably well but still haven’t got the same amount of assistance from the Eden pitch like in the previous seasons. Morne Morkel, Shakib al Hasan, Piyush Chawla, Sunil Narine will try to outclass SRH’s trio, David Warner, Shikhar Dhawan and Yuvraj Singh along with relatively inexperienced, Ankit Rajput. It will be a test of temperament for the young lad from Uttar Pradesh who has come in for an unfit, Umesh Yadav.

KKR’s likely XI against SRH: Gautam Gambhir (c), Robin Uthappa (wk), Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan, Shakib al Hasan, Suryakumar Yadav, James Holder, Piyush Chawla, Morne Morkel, Ankit Rajput, Sunil Narine
