Misbah-ul-Haq and Ashfaq Parvez Kayani

Misbah-ul-Haq (left) is the captain of the Pakistan Test and One-Day International (ODI) team. He made his Test debut against New Zealand in March 2001 and in ODI against the same opponents in April 2002. A right-handed middle order batsman, he has played in 53 Tests and 161 ODIs and has scored 3,736 and 5,088 runs in Tests and ODIs respectively.

In 161 ODI matches, he is yet to score a century with his highest score being 96 not out. He holds the record of fastest fifty in a Test, he scored in 21 balls against Australia in 2014 while in the same innings he equalled the fastest Test century when he scored the hundred in 56 balls. He equalled Viv Richards in doing so.

Misbah’s doppelganger, on the right, Ashfaq Parvez Kayani is a retired four-star rank army general in the Pakistan Army. Succeeding General Pervez Musharraf, he served as the Chief of Army Staff from November 29, 2007 to November 29, 2013. In 2012, Forbes named him the 28th most powerful person in the world while in 2013, he was named as the 34th most powerful person in the world. He retired on October 6, 2013 from the post of Chairman Joint Chief of staff Committee.
