While KXIP have nothing to play for but pride, MI will want to consolidate their position and take a huge step in qualifying for the playoffs. It will surely be a keenly contested battle and no team will leave any stone unturned and will go in all guns blazing in order to get those two points. Let us take a look at some of the key battles for this tie. Full Cricket Scorecard: Mumbai Indians vs Kings XI Punjab, IPL 2016 Match 43 at Visakhapatnam

Rohit Sharma vs Mohit Sharma: It will be a battle of the Sharmas early on. Mohit has been in decent form in the tournament so far and being one of the most senior bowlers in the team, he will have to deliver and look to get MI’s most dangerous batsman out early. But if Mohit is brought on a little late, Rohit might be well settled and may take Mohit for a few runs. Mumbai Indians vs Kings XI Punjab, IPL 2016, Match 43 at Vishakapatnam: Preview

Ambati Rayudu vs Marcus Stoinis: Stoinis has made an immediate impact with both ball and bat in the couple of matches he has played so far. Rayudu too has looked in solid touch. Stoinis with the ability to pick up crucial wickets can get the better of Rayudu, which could expose the middle-order.

Murali Vijay vs Mitchell McClenaghan: McClenaghan is the leading wicket-taker in the tournament and has always gotten MI off to a good start. Vijay on the other hand has been in impressive touch and his brilliant 89 against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) was a treat to watch. MI have to get rid of Vijay early in the game to breathe safely and their best bowler McClenaghan will be entrusted to do that. Vijay in the kind of form he is in could also get the better of McClenaghan.

Hashim Amla vs Jasprit Bumrah: Amla has not made an impact in the IPL so far, but will be looking to get among the runs in this match. Bumrah with his accurate line, slower deliveries and yorkers could cause some trouble to Amla, who is yet to get used to the IPL. Bumrah is usually brought in as first change, but it will not be a bad idea to have him open the bowling and have a go at Amla.

Kieron Pollard vs KC Cariappa: Pollard was back to his hard-hitting best in the previous match against RCB and he will want to take on the young leg spinner. Cariappa has  not been particularly bad in this tournament and will back on Pollard taking him on and losing his wicket in the process. But it could backfire as Pollard could target the youngster and take the match away from KXIP.
