If anything, Rahul Gandhi has found a permanent place in social trends.

Social media is ruthless. They love to target pappus, and ensure they are trolled time and again. Rahul Gandhi is one of the favourite recipients. If anything, he had found a permanent place in social trends.
Rahulâs speech over being a âdynastâ created lot of controversies. While addressing the students in University of California, Rahul said last week: âMost parties in India have that problem (being run by dynasties). So…Mr Akhilesh Yadav is a dynast. Mr Stalin (son of M Karunanidhi in DMK) is a dynast…even Abhishek Bachchan is a dynast. So thatâs how India runs. So donât get after me because thatâs how India runs. By the way, last, I recall, Mr Ambanis are running the business. Thatâs also going on in Infosys. So thatâs what happens in India.â

Akhilesh supported his friend: âHad he been asked about US politics, he would have mentioned said that in America there was a president whose son also became a president. Then there was one president, whose wife also wanted to be a president. There are number of such examples in world democracy.â
Our source tells us that the likes of Tendulkars and Dhonis are relieved to hear this. Sachin Tendulkar, a member of Congress, hoped his son Arjun would make it to the national side based on his fatherâs credentials and meanwhile MS Dhoni has already started training little Ziva to take over from Mithali Raj. And here is how the Akmals reacted to this…
India do not play Pakistan in bilateral series due to political differences. Add BJP to the equation and things just worsen. Here is one man who can mend the bridges. Unlike the not-too-approving Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rahul has managed to win hearts across the borders. At least, one dynast family agrees to it.
Umar Akmal was severely trolled for sharing a picture with his brother Kamran, asking fans if they want this âjodiâ back.
âNothing wrong in being dynasts: it should be either Akmals or no one keeping wickets for Pakistan. We need more thinkers like Mr Rahul Gandhi. He isnât a hypocrite like Mr Modi, who comes and has cake with Mr Nawaz Sharif on his birthday but doesnât want his team to play cricket with us. I have no problems with Sarfraz being the captain but Kamran, Adnan or Umar should always keep wickets,â said Kamran Akmal.
When Umar was asked his opinion, he danced with brother Adnan and said, âKamran-bhai is never wrong.â
The confusion over âreservationsâ
It is a bit confusing and contradicting at the same time. Earlier this year, when BJP announced Ram Nath Kovind as their presidential candidate, him being a Dalit leader led to a faction in the opposition camp believe that âvote bankâ politics is the prime reason for Kovindâs appointment.
India have long discussed on the âcaste-based reservationsâ and political parties have cashed-in on the same. Rahul was overheard screaming then that Modi is planning to destroy Indian politics with âreservationsâ and even blamed Anil Kumbleâs exit as Indiaâs coach.
Kumble resigned, and had tweeted:
Thank you! pic.twitter.com/eF5qVzdBRj
â Anil Kumble (@anilkumble1074) June 20, 2017
Our sources in Congress camp had then overheard a discussion with him and his mother. He apparently told her, “Mr Modi will destroy India with âreservationâ politics. See now the noble Kumble departs. Even Virat Kohli has started having âreservationsâ.”
Not relevant to this story but our source revealed that Sonia Gandhi had then given Rahul a sound scolding after this remark, meanwhile West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee had immediately recommended Kumbleâs name as Bangladeshâs next coach. Bangladesh being Bangladesh and its GDP being lower than Kumbleâs salary could only afford his state-mate Sunil Joshi as their spin-consultant.
On asking Umar about his thoughts on âreservationsâ, he looked at us this way.
Kamran stepped in for his brother, “Let us keep it simple. There should be reservations based on dynasties. So Pakistan team should have at least 1 Akmal as the wicketkeeper.”
Long live the Rahuls and Akmals. The world is a funnier and more curious place. And they are not wrong, because itâs the order of the world. For example, Nawaz Sharifâs brother and nephew are now gripped in a power struggle on who would be the formerâs successor.
Itâs a bloody dynast world.
Disclaimer: Please note that this is a work of pure fiction. Rahul Gandhi’s comments are true and we assume Akmal’s sentiments must be the same.
