Batsman find it tough to find boundaries: DD’s batsmen kept losing wickets and failed to maintain a good run rate. The boundaries dried up as it took 24 balls to hit a boundary in the ninth over. They found it difficult to keep the scoreboard ticking, as RPS piled on the pressure.
Zampa takes three: Adam Zampa responded to his skipper’s call yet again. He first removed Sanju Samson(10) luring him to step out, only to be stumped by Dhoni. In the next over he created pressure on Rishabh Pant(4), forcing him to play the big shot and Pant lost his wicket too. Then followed the set batsman Karun Nair(41), caught in front of the wickets trying to play across the line. Zampa finished his spell of four overs taking three wickets for 21 runs.
RPS tighten the screws in final overs: RPS bowlers gave no room to the batsman to open their arms. They kept the bowling tight with an odd boundary in between overs. Wickets at regular intervals meant that the visitors were always under pressure. JP Duminy fell victim to Dinda in the 19th over while trying to work the ball past fine-leg fielder Irfan Pathan.
Morris’ all out attack in last over: Chris Morris after spending some time in the middle decided to take on Thisara Perera in the final over. 22 runs came off the last over, including 2 sixes 2 fours. Morris scored 38 runs off 20 deliveries to take Delhi to a respectable total.

But yet again, he lost his wicket trying to drive the ball, as he was taken by Shreyas Iyer at backward point. RPS were 32-1 in 4 overs.
A nasty blow to the head: Nathan Coulter-Nile bowled a short ball which took an edge of George Bailey’s bat, hitting him on the helmet. Bailey’s helmet immediately came off and fell on the ground. Coulter-Nile and JP Duminy were quick to walk up to Bailey to see if was okay. Bailey smiled and continued to play.
