Sachin Tendulkar assembles cast for cricket’s ‘The Expendables’

The Expendables is an American action film, written by David Callaham and Sylvester Stallone. The film is the first part of the American series of ensemble action films released in 2010. The film is directed by Stallone, who stars in the lead role, with Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Terry Crews, Steve Austin and Mickey Rourke as co-stars.

The plot revolves around a group of elite mercenaries tasked with a mission to dethrone a Latin American dictator, but the group soon finds out that the concerned person is a puppet, who is controlled by an ex-CIA officer. The film received mixed reviews but praised for its action scenes. Though it was criticised for its story, the film was a commercial success as the film series continued. After all, who would want to miss out the best yesteryear action stars together on screen.

The retired cricketers, who once ruled the greens, come out in the open and decide to give fans the worth of the money.
