South Africa will take on West Indies in the 27th game of the ICC World T20 2016  at Nagpur on Friday. South Africa have had an upper hand in nine Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) games so far, winning six and losing three. They’ve met on couple of occasions in World T20 and South Africa have emerged victorious on both the occasions. But the game at Nagpur will hold a lot of importance for both the teams as South Africa will eye for another win and keep their hunt for the semi-finals alive whereas West Indies will look to seal a win and reserve a berth in the semi-finals. Live Cricket Scorecard: West Indies vs South Africa, T20 World Cup 2016, Match 27 at Nagpur

1.  ICC World T20 2007, Group Match at Johannesburg: This was the inaugural game of the first edition of the ICC World T20 back in 2007 where hosts South Africa locked horns with West Indies at Johannesburg. Batting first, West Indies posted a massive total of 205 in 20 overs on the board. Chris Gayle stood tall and smashed a scintillating century to guide his side to a gigantic total. In reply, South African batsmen came out all guns blazing and looked right on the money. Herschelle Gibbs engineered the run chase with his unbeaten 90 runs knock and was equally supported by Justin Kemp. South Africa stunned everyone as they won the contest y eight wickets with 14 deliveries to spare as they successfully chased down the target inside 18 overs. Barring Fidel Edwards every West Indian bowler witnessed the wrath of South African batsmen.
