Former England cricketer Trevor Bailey, who has also written several books, was a commentator for BBC’s Test Match Special.

Bailey has played 61 Tests for England, having scored 2,290 Test runs, with an average of 29.74 and has also claimed 132 Test wickets. Bailey has played a total of 683 First-Classes matches.

During his days at BBC, fellow commentator Brian Johnston called him ‘The Boil’. Sometimes, Bailey’s statement absolutely made no sense. It does not matter whether we look at the English or the logic. We can just pass it off as another gaffe from The Boil.

And here’s a Bailey special – “There are good one-day players, there are good Test players, and vice versa.”
