Vasu Paranjpe’s fitting riposte to Krishnamachari Srikkanth

Sandeep Patil has an amazing sense of humour. There are stories galore about his humour and pranks. And one man who was the butt of many jokes during Patil’s playing days was the fidgety Krishnamachari Srikkanth.

Patil says that Srikkanth once told the great Vasu Paranjpe, “Look, I have no lines on my palms. So I have no worries.”

Paranjpe, who knows a bit of palmistry and who is in a class of his own for brilliant, humorous one-liners, came up with his trademark riposte: “You are right, Cheeka. There are no worries for you; all the worries are for those who watch you bat!”
