Australian speedster Mitchell Johnson stunned the cricket fraternity with his immediate retirement from international cricket on Tuesday. The announcement came as a surprise to many as he is just 34 and could have played a bit longer. He though is the best judge of his body and must have taken a right call at the right time.
Coming back to his announcement, it prompted an outpouring of congratulations on social media. Many of his colleagues and counterparts congratulated him on a fantastic career. Cricket Australia too wished him all through the day with a series of tweets that encapsulated his career. In one such tweet, their official twitter handle shared a light video that was a spoof on Johnsonâs moustacheâs role in Australiaâs Ashes 2013 victory.
