Before the match, here is the likely XI for the Caribbeans. FULL CRICKET SCORECARD: West Indies vs Australia, Tri-Nation Series, Match 5 at Basseterre

Top order: Johnson Charles significantly contributed in West Indies’ only victory in the series. Charles opened the innings and built up a crucial partnership with No.3 Darren Bravo. Though the other opener, Andre Fletcher, departed early in both the matches without contributing much, he has the potential to fire and play a match-winning knock. Bravo, on the other hand, is an experienced player and provides stability. If the top three perform (as expected of them), West Indies is sure to get a solid start to their batting.

Middle order: The West Indies side has one of the most destructive middle order. Marlon Samuels comes out at No. 4 and is the perfect person to anchor the innings. He was one of the key players behind West Indies’ victory in the final match of ICC World T20 2016 and has shown his class and ability.\

Denesh Ramdin comes out at No. 5 to stabilise the innings in the middle overs. Two swashbuckling players in Kieron Pollard and Carlos Brathwaite come out next, who can turn the match with their hard-hitting abilities. Skipper Jason Holder, on the other hand, can also contribute in the death overs.

Bowlers: West Indies’ bowling trump card, Sunil Narine, has been their best performer ever since his comeback in the national side. Moreover, Sulieman Benn has playing a vital role in containing the onslaught. Skipper Holder leads the pace attack while Carlos Brathwaite and Jerome Taylor bowl tight line and length.

West Indies likely XI: Johnson Charles, Andre Fletcher, Darren Bravo, Marlon Samuels, Denesh Ramdin (wk), Kieron Pollard, Carlos Brathwaite, Jason Holder (c), Sulieman Benn, Sunil Narine, Jerome Taylor
