India’s taekwondo players had another bad day in office as none among the men and women in fray could make it to the medal round at the Asian Games in Incheon on Thursday. Saurav lost in the men’s 63kg quarterfinal to Afghanistan’s Abasi Ahmad Roman’s 4-5. In the round of 16, Saurav had beaten Sujan Joshi 8-5 at Ganghwa Dolmens Gymnasium.

In the men’s 68 kg, Shiv Kumar lost to Alasmari Ghazi Mushabbab of Saudi Arabia 7-11. In the women’s 62 kg event, Assam girl Rekha Ranee Gogoi was thrashed by Chia Chia Chuang of Chinese Taipei 0-15 in a quarter-final bout. India’s Shreya Singh gave a tough fight before being pipped 6-7 by host nation’s Wonjin Lee in the women’s 67 kg event.
