Chelsea’s Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas has predicted an even UEFA Champions League final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid on Saturday, noting that the football game might go into extra time. Real Madrid will face neighbours Atletico Madrid on May 28 at San Siro in Milan in the Champions League final. Upon arrival at the Spanish national team camp in Madrid, Fabregas on Monday said this year’s Champions League final will be similar to the same game two years ago in Lisbon, when Real Madrid claimed the title after a 4-1 victory, reports Efe.

The Spanish midfielder praised his former club Barcelona after defeating Sevilla 2-0 in the Copa del Rey final on Sunday, with the Catalans claiming the domestic double after snatching La Liga title earlier. The Catalans won by a single point over Real Madrid, and won the title on the final day of the season. Luis Suarez ended up as the Pichichi winner, scoring 40 goals for Barcelona.

The final will be a much anticipated game, considering it’s the 2nd time in 3 years that a Madrid derby will take place. Last time, Real were down till the 90th minute, before a 92nd minute header from Sergio Ramos took the tie to extra time. Since then, goals from Angel di Maria, Marcelo and Cristiano Ronaldo sealed the deal for Real, which led them to the much awaited ‘La Decima’.
