A banner that echoes the sentiments of cricket fans in terror-ravaged Pakistan
The recently-concluded Zimbabwe’s tour has given a new life for international cricket in Pakistan. Even after terrorist attack outside Gaddafi Stadium, Zimbabwe agreed to continue with the series. The supporters of both Pakistan and Zimbabwe team has shown great courage and gave a big hope of light for this gentleman’s game in this terror traumatised nation.
After the Lahore bus attack on Sri Lankan cricket team in 2009, Pakistan endured a huge loss. Not only in terms of International cricket they also lost their dignity all over the world and in between, the people of Pakistan had to suffer a lot.
On May 31, 2015, Zimbabwe played their final match of the three match One-Day International (ODI) series with Pakistan at the Gaddafi Stadium of Lahore, which washed out due to rain and the series ended in Pakistan’s favour. But the poster above echoed the sentiments of the Pakistani cricket fans.
