The second day of third Ashes Test at Edgbaston between the oldest rivalries of cricket witnessed a moment of love and romance. Warwickshire cricket club posted a photograph from their official Twitter account, where Robin, one of the spectator from the crowd is seen proposing his girlfriend Helen during the lunch break on the outfield. The reply to this question from the guy was a joyful yes from his girlfriend.

After a good start with the ball on day two, the Aussies were having an upper hand as the hosts were down to seven wickets for 153 runs but it was Stuart Broad and Moeen Ali’s partnership of 68 runs which provided some stability till lunch. Post lunch, England were bowled out for 281 but gained a priceless lead of 145 runs.

Australian batting line up stumbled in the second innings too as half the team were back in the pavilion for a mere score of 92 runs. The Kangaroos’ are precariously placed at 168 for seven with Peter Nevill and Mitchell Starc still alive at the stumps of day two.

It’s not the first time when a game has experienced such a moment. During the second One-Day International (ODI) between South Africa and West Indies on January 18, 2015 at Wanderers, Johannesburg, a guy too proposed his girlfriend to marry him through the big screen. The match was famously remembered for AB de Villiers knock of 149 runs from 44 balls which also broke the record of World’s fastest century in 50-over format.
