That South African batting sensation and their One-Day International (ODI) skipper AB de Villiers is a talented sportsman with interests in many games, is a well known fact. The â360 degreesâ player is a huge rugby fan and has even played the game for his school team. At one point, he was deeply involved with the game and couldâve played it at the highest level too, but he opted for cricket.

The video posted by de Villiers from his official Twitter account also features his team mates Kagiso Rabada, Quinton de Kock and Albie Morkel. In the video, all the cricketers can be seen saying âBokkeâ, which refers to the nickname of the South African national rugby team.
The video was shot when the players were waiting at the Dharamsala airport to leave for Cuttack, the venue for next T20 International (T20I). De Villiers started recording an impromptu video asking everyone to say âBokkeâ. He started with his teammates and then asked Dhoni to cheer for his team, saying, âcome on MSâ. The Indian captain promptly obliged by shouting âBokke.â
Shastri and Kohli followed the captain and showed their support for the rugby team. De Villiers then concluded with his message to the team, saying, “To the Boks, all the best boys.”
