Anjum Chopra wishes quick recovery for Navjot Singh Sidhu

Without an aorta of doubt Anjum Chopra is one of India’s most inspiring and recognisable faces women cricket. Now there are others like Mithali Raj and the rest but Chopra played cricket in those days when the game was not so fancied and viewed in India, at least. Cricketers share a good camaraderie and stand up for each other in health or in sickness.

In a very humanly gesture, Chopra visited the most entertaining character from the Indian cricketing fraternity Navjot Singh Sidhu who is at the Indraprastha hospital in New Delhi. He is recovering from a  clot in one of his deep veins, a condition called acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT).

Anjum Chopra tweeted the moment which also coincided with India’s victory and wrote, ‘Celebrating the Indian team @BCCI victory #IndvsSA and your good recovery @sherryontopp #GetWellSoon.’

Earlier, Kapil Dev and Harbhajan Singh also paid a visit to the hospital where Sidhu is admitted. Apparently the doctors say that this is a life-threatening condition. All his fans would be praying for his recovery and with the amount of well-wishers he has one can only expect things to get better as days progresses.
