Known for his outspoken nature and frank views on modern-day cricket, former spinner Bishan Singh Bedi has once again made news with his bold statement over the nature of pitches in India.

“You want me to believe this is home advantage? The legendary spinner went on to make a bolder statement when he said, “I hope I am not making a sweeping statement here, but captain Virat Kohli will have to answer history just like Douglas Jardine had to answer history for his Bodyline tactics in 1932-33.” Read: “Diabolical” pitch or not, this is Test cricket!

The Nagpur strip has already been garnering criticism from all quarters for its “diabolical nature.” Kohli, however, has already defended it by saying there is nothing wrong with exploiting the home advantage and that India don’t complain when they are offered green-tops overseas. Though, it will be interesting to see how the skipper reacts to Bedi’s outrageous remarks.
