‘Bored’ Virat Kohli finally spends some good time after rain washes out Day 4 of the Fourth Test

India’s hopes of retaining the World No. 1 Test ranking for a longer period received a major blow when the fourth and the final Test against West Indies at Port of Spain got marred by the rain. The only action in the match happened on Day One when West Indies scored 2 for 62 before the rain intervened and went on to wash the play of next three days as well. Due to lack of cricketing action, the cricketers were left to do nothing and were bored to the core. Indian skipper Virat Kohli expressed his emotions on the same by sharing a selfie with Ravindra Jadeja through his official Twitter handle. The accompanying caption read: “When you are waiting at the hotel & getting bored. Rains are annoying when a match is going on #TestOfPatience”.

However, it seems that the skipper later made up for the lost time and finally managed to kill his boredom in the evening, when he went out for dinner with Team India coach Anil Kumble and national selector and former wicketkeeper Saba Karim. The three had a nice time, as Kohli’s tweet suggests, which read as: “Great Dinner with these wonderful people. Good Times.”

With one day remaining, the game is headed towards a draw. No cricket due to rain has meant that India will concede their short stay at the No. 1 spot in Test rankings to arch-rivals Pakistan. Team India will be next seen in action in two T20Is to be played in the USA against West Indies on August 27 and 28. MS Dhoni will lead the side in those games.
