AB de Villiers defeated me in Tennis: Kevin Anderson

South African captain AB de Villiers has earned accolades with his rock solid and innovative performances. For this ability of his he is also known as Superman, Hulk and Mr 360 of cricket. He is not only limited to cricket but also known to be a master in other sports. He is a talented sportsman who can play golf, rugby, badminton, swimming, tennis and hockey at a decent level.

De Villiers had the ingredients to excel in other in other sports but recently a tennis player admitted to have been defeated by De Villiers in his younger days. Kevin Anderson is currently the World No. 12 in the tennis circuit.

As reported by MidDay, Anderson expressed his happiness over De Villiers’ choice in sports instead of sticking with tennis for future and said, “Yes, he beat me in tennis when I was 10 or 12 years old. He was pretty good in those days. I am glad he made the switch to cricket.”

“I am still in touch with AB on twitter and sms. I think AB is the best batsman in the world. I am a passionate cricket follower,” added Anderson. He is currently in India for the Chennai Open and also keeping a track of ongoing Test series between South Africa and England and quipped, “I watched some of the second South Africa-England Test match in my hotel room. South Africa seem to be finding their form again after being thrashed by India.”
