India continued their dream run in Tests at home by winning the three-match Test series against New Zealand 3-0, and thus extending their unbeaten streak at home to 13 Tests. Besides, the team also became the No. 1 Test team in the world. A lot of credit of this success goes to the skipper Virat Kohli, under whom, Team India are yet to lose a Test series. The Indian run-machine, who has marshalled the troupes in five-day cricket extremely well, has now shifted focus towards the One-Day Internationals (ODIs), a format where he personally does really well. The third and the final Test at Indore ended on the fourth day itself, thus giving an extra day to the teams to unwind before the ODIs. Skipper Kohli made the most of this break, as he left for his hometown Delhi after the fourth day s play that is the conclusion of the Indore Test. Kohli went straight to his home and had a great time with his loved ones. He mentioned on his official Twitter handle how he was planning to spend the time at his home and how excited he was to eat home prepared food. He wrote:

He even shared a picture with his pet dog Bruno , one of his most-loved ones.

Kohli then intimated his followers regarding his departure to Dharamsala, the venue for the first ODI to be played on Sunday, October 16. He followed it up with a beautiful video he captured of his room after reaching Dharamsala. The Indian Test skipper praised the beauty of the picturesque city up north in the Himalayas. He also left a delightful note about the city which read: Love coming here always. Being close to the nature is so peaceful.

India will play the five-match ODI series against New Zealand under MS Dhoni s captaincy. Kohli though, as always, shall have an important role to play in the series.
