Better late than never: Former Pakistan cricketer Abdul Razzaq takes the Ice Bucket Challenge

Ice Bucket Challenge the act of dumping a bucket full of ice cold water on one’s own body is a noble activity done for a social cause. The challenge, which originated in the United States of America (USA) to raise awareness for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) disease, has gone viral on the social media and taken it by storm.

Many famous personalities from varied fields have taken the challenge, which aims to generate awareness as well as donation for the ALS association, in different parts of world thus far. The latest celebrity to take the challenge is Pakistan star Abdul Razzaq, who recently retired from international cricket. The challenge was a popular trend in 2014 but Razzaq seems to have triggered it again.

The all-rounder recently took the challenge and posted its video through his official Twitter account. Also as a part of the challenge, he nominated three more people to take the same.

In the video, an enthusiastic Razzaq can be seen taking the challenge with an unknown person emptying a bucket full of ice cold water on him. Once the bucket is emptied over his head, Razzaq can be seen shouting and shivering from cold. It is heartening that the cricketers are contributing to the social cause and hopefully more of them would come forward for the cause.
