CAB illuminates Eden Gardens to pay tribute to victims of Paris terror attack

The despicable terror attacks, which took place in Paris on November 13, have created a huge stir all over the world. Over 150 people were reportedly dead after bomb blasts and open firing that took place across several places in the city. Even the cricket fraternity poured in with their prayers and condolences towards the victims of the shocking attack.

Cricketers like Glenn McGrath, Shane Warne, Wasim Akram, Kevin Pietersen and Kumar Sangakkara took it to social media to express their grief over the attack. On this occasion, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) lit up the iconic Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata in the colours of French Flag as a move to pay tribute to the unfortunate people who were affected by the attack.

BCCI instantly took it to their official Twitter handle where they uploaded a picture of the stadium and wrote, “Eden Gardens lit up in the French Flag colours as a tribute to the #FranceAttacks victims.” It was indeed a nice gesture on CAB’s part to show solidarity with the terror victims in this hour of grief.
