Former Australia legend Adam Gilchrist praised South Africa One-Day-International (ODI) skipper AB de Villiers as the "most valuable cricketer on planet".<p></p><p></p>Gilchrist, who was a wicket-keeper batsman, feels de Villiers inventive style and his way of leading from the front makes him the most valuable cricketer. He added, "He's so inventive he can play a touch game or a power game. Then, he can also keep wickets. He's also one of the best fielders in the world and recently has taken some wickets when he had a bowl. And he leads his team very well, so, I think he's the most valuable cricketer around."<p></p><p></p>The ICC World Cup 2015 will kick off on February 14, with the first match between New Zealand and Sri Lanka.<p></p><p></p>"I think next month's tournament is going to be really exciting," Gilchrist said.<p></p><p></p>This will be de Villiers third World Cup. He has played 175 ODIs and scored 7,210 runs with 18 centuries and 42 half-centuries. The South African captain has led the team in 56 ODIs, winning 31 matches. Added to his unbelievable batting skills, de Villiers can also keep wickets and behind the stumps, he has accounted for 88 batsmen.
