IPL 2015: Delhi Dardevils beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by four runs, Stars and flops

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) needed 10 runs from the last over and Nathan Coulter-Nile bowled four brilliant balls and gave away just three runs. With seven runs required from two balls, Karn Sharma smacked one in between point and cover, and it was going all the way for a six but in an incredible display of athleticism, Mayank Agarwal leapt high in the air and pulled the ball back to play. That proved to be the difference as DD managed their second win of the tournament and by four runs.

Delhi Daredevils (DD) skipper JP Duminy was the star of the day. Earlier he called it right at the toss and elected to bat. DD put on a strong total of 167 on the board with Shreyas Iyer getting 60 from 40 balls and Duminy playing a fine hand for 54 from 41.

SRH had enough firepower in their batting to chase down the total but every time they looked to get a partnership going, Duminy with his off-spin created in roads. He picked up the wickets of crucial Shikhar Dhawan, David Warner, Ravi Bopara and Eoin Morgan.

Turning point: Of course Agarwal’s fielding display in the last over helped DD; in fact Coulter-Nile bowled an exemplary last over. However it was the 17th over bowled by Duminy that turned the game big way in DD’s favour. Bopara was going strong and they needed 40 from 21 balls, Duminy first got his wicket and two balls later sent back the dangerous Morgan exposing the lower order.
