IPL 2015: Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Delhi Daredevils by 10 wickets at Delhi, Stars and flops

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), who didn’t begin the eighth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on a great note marked a dramatic turnaround in their previous match against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Ahmedabad. Moving north, they continued their form with another clinical bowling show, this time against Delhi Daredevils (DD).

The RCB bowlers combined brilliantly to dismiss DD for a paltry 95. The chase wasn’t going to threaten the RCB batsmen and a Chris Gayle hurricane ensured they sealed a 10-wicket win, further boosting their run-rate. Two matches back they were reeling at the last position, but now have toppled DD to take the fourth position in the points table.

Turning point: The seventh over of the DD innings saw the wickets of Yuvraj Singh and Angelo Mathews fall in consecutive deliveries. Varun Aaron, who had been disappointing so far in the tournament picked the two key wickets and was bowling at serious pace. DD couldn’t stage a comeback and handed a big win to RCB and took a big beating on their run-rate.
