IPL 2015: Shah Rukh Khan will not be allowed to witness MI-KKR clash at the Wankhede Stadium

Bollywood superstar and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) co-owner Shah Rukh Khan will not be allowed to watch the key Indian Premier League (IPL) match between KKR and Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday. The ban on the superstar, who created a ruckus there in 2012, stays for the third consecutive year.

As reported by PTI, a Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) official was quoted as saying, “No, he will not be allowed as the ban continues.”

The association had banned him for five years from entering their premises, including the Wankhede Stadium, after the actor was involved in an ugly altercation with its security staff following KKR’s win over the hosts on May 16, 2012.

However the actor will be allowed to witness defending champions KKR take on Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbaion Sunday. The Brabourne Stadium, owned by Cricket Club of India (CCI) is allotted the home ground of the RR side and it is adjacent to the Wankhede Stadium.
