Robin Uthappa takes a selfie with an 8-year old KKR fan

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)’s last edition’s triumph will simply be credited to the team’s hard earned efforts. The team looked hapless in the first five games and with a few tactical changes, the fortunes changed drastically. Robin Uthappa, who was continuously failing at the middle-order, was given the green signal to open and that’s when their fate got transformed.

Uthappa scored 40 and more on nine occasions and eventually became the orange cap winner, helping KKR win their second title. But this year, the magic seems to be lost from Uthappa as he has failed to convert the starts he has got.

The Karnataka dasher enjoys a great fan following in India and on Monday, he posted a photograph with an 8-year old boy on his official Instagram account. The kid, who is a KKR fan shook hands with the aggressive opener and wished the franchise to taste success this year again.

KKR have almost made it to the play-offs and have two league games remaining. They play the next game against Mumbai Indians (MI) at Wankhede Stadium on Thursday.
