Sachin Tendulkar attends ‘Run Kerala Run’

Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar made his presence felt in the ‘Run Kerala Run’ marathon at Thiruvananthapuram.

‘Run Kerala Run’ marathon which took place across the state on 20th January, 2015 was organised to create awareness about the 35th National Games to be held in Kerala. Tendulkar, who is the Goodwill Ambassador of the 35th National Games, ran 200 meters with the participants. As reported by Indian Express, the cricketing legend was greeted by the fans in traditional ‘Namaskaram.’ Much to the delight of the fans, he posed for selfies with some of them.

Governor of Kerala, R Sathasivam, Tendulkar, along with Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Sports Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan flagged off the marathon.

According to the report, Tendulkar’s fans outnumbered the runners taking part, as they gathered in large numbers at the venue couple of hours before the start of the event.
