Sachin Tendulkar: Dedicate one hour per year to clean India

Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar joined NDTV’s Clean India campaign on Sunday, after being nominated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Swachh Bharat Campaign.

Tendulkar said that it was an honour to be a part of the cause and there was no question of rethinking.

The batting maestro cleaned the footpath in Bandra and mentioned that elderly people expressed their gratitude for cleaning the place. He also requested all Indians to devote at least one hour a year to clean a place.

He also said that if someone won’t spit in front of his or her own house, why that person would spit in front of another person’s house. He also praised the work of the ‘safai karmacharis’, who work hard to keep our country clean.
