Sanjay Manjrekar has added another feather to his cap. As a singer, he has recorded a Bengali song for a film to be directed by Mainak Bhaumik. The music director of the film is Anupam Roy.<p></p><p></p>Speaking to <em>Anandabazaar Patrika</em>, Manjrekar said, "I have always had an attraction for Bengali songs. I used to worship Kishore Kumar. I have heard a lot of his Hindi songs. Later on, was amazed to hear his Bengali songs."<p></p><p></p>Manjrekar, whose native language is Marathi, was asked on why he didn't try out singing in the Marathi industry.<p></p><p></p>"I cannot go and ask people to let me sing. If someone asks, then I can. Moreover, I like soft music, which you can find in Rabindra sangeet [songs written/composed by Rabindranath Tagore]. You can feel the mood while singing Rabindrasangeet," said the former Indian cricketer turned commentator.
