Supreme Court on Monday came down heavily on the suspended BCCI president N Srinivasan. The special Supreme Court bench comprising of Justices TS Thakur and FM Kalifullah, criticised Srinivasan's ambition to continue as the BCCI chief.

Justice Thakur also went on to question Srinivasan's dual role. "Your duty as a president is to keep the show [IPL] running and to keep it clean. What is your duty as a team owner? To win the tournament. Is this not a conflict?"

The court slammed BCCI's conflict of interest as a 'mutual benefit' society. The court said, "You can't make a distinction between BCCI and IPL. IPL is a by-product of BCCI. Some people who are in BCCI now own a team. Now it has become a mutual benefit society."
