Trinidad and Tobago sporting legends Brian Lara and Dwight Yorke light up CPL

Cricket legend Brian Lara and former football star Dwight Yorke actively participated in a Caribbean Premier League (CPL) charity match at Warner Park which took place on Thursday. The match was basically a fund raiser for various charitable organisations. Yorke is the famous Tobagonian former footballer and a Manchester United star. He also happens to be a very close friend of his countryman Lara.

The game was played between the Prime Minister of St Kitts & Nevis XI and Sir Vivian Richards XI. Both the teams included some star players like Darren Gough, Murali Karthik, Daren Ganga, Damien Martyn, Danny Morrison and Ian Bishop. They were also accompanied by three current CPL coaches Simon Helmot, Eric Simons and Stuart William and also the famous West Indies women’s cricketer, Stefanie Taylor.

The revenue generated from the match will go towards the local charity. In the previous year, three charities were helped form the raised revenue.
