VIDEO: Rohit Sharma terms the ‘team bonding’ session as “enjoying experience” and “unusual”

Anil Kumble knows a lot about team bonding. He was a part of the Indian side that comprised the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman. They were all greats in their own way but shared fantastic camaraderie and their focus was the betterment of Indian cricket. Ahead of the important West Indies tour, Kumble came up with innovative team bonding exercises, one of which was bonding over music. Actress-singer Vasundhara Das and her team were invited and Team India had an enjoyable session. The team was joined by former Test captain MS Dhoni, who gave a pep talk to the side. Rohit Sharma is a part of India’s brigade to West Indies and the Mumbai batsman spoke to BCCI about the innovative exercise. Rohit stressed on the importance of bonding between the players because they will be expected to stick with one another for a major part of their careers. Caught by surprise at first, he termed the whole experience as “enjoyable” and “unusual”. He also said there were enough learning through the whole exercise.
